Redmond Photography

As you can probably tell, I really like black and white photography. It's not that I don't like color, I'll add a few color photographs to my collection, but, to me, black and white adds so much to the art by simply taking something away. By taking away the color, we focus on the subject and composition. Small details emerge we once didn't notice. We see how light and shadows, two opposites, interact with one another to form a perfect union.

My photography is in no way meant to be political. I'm not trying to make a statement through my art. I just want to create an image that soothes the soul, not fires it up. There are a lot of souls to soothe and images to take and I'm just getting started. I hope you stay with me and support me on this journey.
